MY MOTHER OF PEARL

The tender mood brims over the mind
Of the silent love between us;
Though unremembered,
Though withered, it is again blooming
On the golden shores of
Love, in the morning glory...

Unknowingly I kept my love for her
In the fathoms of my eyelids.-
She came softly with silent strides
Gasping in her breath,
Purring and grazing against my cheeks.
She kissed on my half closed eyelids
With moist lips, ardent with her love.
She learned to hum my unseen poetry
Unknowingly when I was aloof.
She used to hold this shivering violin
Hard pressed on her bosom.
I know not, how much, and why I loved this
Mother of Pearl! throughout my existence.

Who knows???

I will worship you keeping myself
Away from your presence, my exquisite fairy!
You appear as the marvelous earth,
Dazzling in the glory of a smile
As emitted by the full moon.

Though you remain at an arm’s reach,
Who knows if I could ever possess you!
Who knows if it is ever possible
To cuddle you in my bosom, though you
Bloom in my mind as the spring?
Even if I am unable to embrace you,
I can still adore you through my dreams.

Who knows if a flower will wither and fall down,
Even if the harsh wind shake it violently blowing on it?
Who knows if it is possible to quench one’s thirst,
By merely blinking at a goblet that is overwhelming,
Before the eyes of a thirsty tramp, trekking
Through the desert in a sand storm?
Even if it is unattainable to imbue the contents,
It could still be remembered garishly.
Who knows if I could ever see you again ,
Before I breathe my last?

A present from God!

We cannot find God in His heaven, and
As well, could not find Him in this barren
Earth also; He is missing altogether…

He is now sitting cool in our minds only,
And the greatest present He has given
Sitting there, is the gift of a beautiful
Lamp we call Love, ever radiating
Its magnificence in glory, to all.
Keep that lamp clean, wash it,
Polish it, pour oil in it, and add a wick
And light the golden flame;
Protect it from the hurricane lest it extinguish;
Make sure there is sufficient oil in it, always,
To keep the flame, ever glowing.
Carry it to enlighten others thoughts.
If ever we forget that any time,
Time is keeping a vigil to put it out,
Walking along with us, waiting for a chance.
Beware! It is a precious gift of the Almighty.
