Flaccid dreams…

The scent of Mogra flowers were serenading
Through the air, diffusing into my senses.
The same adoring fragrance that emanated through
The showers of my day dreams, in your countenance.
Silvery lines cast shadows in the earth;
The Night Queens smiled in welcome.
Among the bluish pleats in the sarong of the moonlight,
I saw the furling of your long robe.
The silky waves of your dress moved away from my life
Like seared petals of withered days.

The beams of the moonlight turned into violin
Strings, and while the breeze caressed them
Produced melodious musical overtures.
I heard the timbre of your compliant voice
From the song sung by the silent night.
The tinkle of your golden anklet faded
Like wilted tender leaves from my dreams.

SIESTA !

This night will fade away and
The moonlight also will vanish.
The only thing that will not die out
And carry on smiling sweetly,
Are your dreams, my beloved.

I will not wake you up, my living dream
Of a maiden, disrupting your dreams,
As you sleep like a flower on a bed,
Spread out by the bluish blue nights.

You are a dance that came seeking
For the anklet to adorn your feet;
A silent song that came in quest of a lute.
I will not try to awaken you from that slumber.

My paradise…

If this moonlight, these flowers, this breeze
And you are with me eternally;
The music in the song of the nightingale;
This ache and twinge and you in my presence,
Giving me the ecstasy of a life time;
The sandal paste you adorn on your pretty forehead
The saffron moistened by the pearl of your sweat
As my fingers wipe them out while
I endearingly fondle your countenance
Sitting together in the moonlight;
Like a cloud showering its moist drops
On the leaves in the garden
I will cuddle your sweet face then…

The supple radiance of your body that
Lie sleeping on my chest, at this moment
Is similar to the dew drops on the blade of a grass,
And like the a pretty pearl blossoming in the mother of pearl,
Caressed by the serene rays of the evening sun.
The sweetness of your name pervades in each of my words.
I feel your proximity in my boundless dreams.

A sad evening!

When you came before me, adorning your forehead
With a pinch of vermilion, I find in your eyes
Some tear drops, hesitating to fall down, my love!
Is that the melancholy of parting, or reproof,
Or ill- will that envelopes your mind now?

With handsful of astounding dreams
And moments, when silence became eloquent,
Hiding in the oyster of my soul,
I did not flee away from you or
Vanish into the unknown gloom, my beloved!

I never forgot you at all.
The bluish tinge of the moonlight in your eyes
Reflecting your tender love, is the image
I carry always in my heart, with delight.

I remember you, tremulous like a flame of the
Lamp, in the soft breeze on the festival day,
And the way your face furled like a white lotus
Looking down, with the enclosing modesty in you.
It fills my reverie as a depressing despair,
Spreading like a doleful strain of music,
Haunting my wakeful moments.

In the bosom, of a dream…

While my whole life,
Wearily sleep incongruously.
Vision of a sweet compassion,
Make a stage show in the mind,
Like a fairy walking, and coming
Out ofthe moonlight,
Vanishing into thin air,
Deep inside the infinite blue yonder.

The gorgeous moon sleeping in
The ether, became her companion,
She disappeared like a star,
from my eyes.
Entrancing reveries of hopes,
Withered and fell dead,
Into the empty wilderness,
Of disappointments,
On the vistas of the isolated paths,
of gruesome life.
Those dots of stains of strains are
Still stirring up untold grief.

As inspiring festivities of the spring,
Commence with its flowers,
Desires enter the mind as an uninvited caller.
Do you overhear the tales of my
Thousand and One nights,
Immersed in the chaos of stricken heart;
While sitting in your abode, in the sky
With it’s, scores of stores of stories.
